Sustainable Homes & Communities Terms & Conditions

The Sustainable Homes & Communities website provides an opportunity for community groups and members within Darebin and Banyule to share their sustainable living journey and actions.

The site is intended for education and community engagement purposes only.

’We’ refers to the Darebin City Council and Banyule City Council. ‘You’ or “registered member/s’ refers to a person accessing and registering to use the Sustainable Homes & Communities website, by adding or amending your details.

By registering details in the Sustainable Homes & Communities website, you are bound by conditions and obligations outlined in these Terms and Conditions and also under the Privacy Statement.

Darebin City Council Rights and Responsibilities

We reserve the right to:

Refuse, reject and terminate any profiile at any time for any reason and are under no obligation to provide reason
Remove information which is political, racist, unlawful, threatening, abusive, indecent, pornographic or defamatory
Modify or discontinue any service offered via the Sustainable Homes & Communities website at any time for any reason
Provide information contained in any profile in other formats, i.e. advertising, publications and online newsletters (with permission)
Amend the Terms and Conditions at our discretion. We recommend you review the Terms and Conditions regularly.

Darebin City Council and Banyule City Council do not endorse or represent the views of community groups or members listed on the Sustainable Homes & Communities website.

Registered Members

All registered members must:

Ensure the information provided is appropriate and factual.
Be responsible for updating all information provided in their profile.

Registered members must not use their profile to:

Display unsolicited, fraudulent or deceptive information
Post information which includes but is not limited to intimidating or harassing statements or such which may lead to civil or criminal action
Post information or multimedia files which are pornographic, obscene, indecent or
Encourage acts which constitute a criminal offence or civil liability
Post information or material which may contain viruses or other malicious programs and cause harm to user’s access and the general operation of the Sustainable Homes & Communities website.
